Sales Tax

Texas is the home state of Optasia Therapeia Soap Company.  So you will notice an additional charge at checkout for 8.25%, which is the sales tax rate in Texas.  Unfortunately for you and us both, this additional amount is not for either of us, but will go to the State of Texas when we file our taxes as required by law.  But the good thing is, we can still make soap!

 

Shipping Costs are ESTIMATES.

We pride ourselves on getting your products to you quickly and thus, we want to offer you the simple and affordable shipping options.  You may find a flat cost for shipping at checkout, but this is only an ESTIMATE.  Based on our research, the U.S. Postal Service provides the most options that are most economical for you—our customers!  Whenever possible, we will use a Flat Rate shipping box which ranges in price from $7.75 to $19.95.  On the other hand, we also choose Priority Mail shipping which includes insurance and tracking information.  Priority Mail prices range from $8.75 to $23.00.  We will always choose the lesser priced option when shipping and will try to fit as many products as we can into shipping packages based on weight.  If, at checkout, you choose a shipping option that is more expensive, and we find a better option, we will give you back the difference!

 

Refund & Returns Policy

Thank you for shopping at Optasia Therapeia Soap Company.  If, for any reason, you are not completely satisfied with a purchase we invite you to review our policy on refunds and returns.

Requests for Returns made within 24 hours - Allowed.

You are entitled to cancel your order within 24 hours for any reason if you contact us by email at [email protected].  Please include your full name and your order number for reference, along with your specific request to cancel a placed order.  A refund will be promptly issued to your original form of payment through our payment processing system with a confirmation email message.  The actual deposit and release of refunded monies may vary depending on your financial institution, which generally may take up to 5 business days to complete.   

Requests to Return After Delivery - Allowed within 3 days.

In order to request a return, the product must be “Return eligible.” 

“Return eligible” items only include body care products that are packaged in a plastic or glass container with a protective safety seal.  The product must be in its original packaging and the seal cannot be broken.  In accordance with our belief, we use the honor system in regard to our safety seals and will honor your good faith request to return a “return eligible” product so long as the seal is unbroken, and the product is un-opened/un-used.    

For sanitary reasons, we are unable to accept returns for hard soap items. 

Most of our soaps are unwrapped and naked because we like to balance the natural essence of our soaps in their natural form and to minimize the risk of suffocation, discoloration, and sweating that can happen inside cellophane and/or paper wrappings.  Therefore, the original un-opened packaging requirement does not apply to our hard soaps and our hard soaps are not return eligible. 

At our discretion, we may allow a product credit or coupon towards another purchase, for a reason not otherwise covered in our policy, in good faith, if such a request is made.

If you placed an order online and after you receive your order, decide you wish to return your item, you may send us a request for a return of goods sold.  You will have 3 days to return goods already shipped and received.  Goods are considered received when a common carrier (e.g. US Postal Service, FedEx, UPS, etc.) has delivered a shipped order to you and you or a designated or appointed third party takes possession of the shipped order or purchased item(s).  

You must inform us of your decision by email at [email protected].

We must receive the actual item(s) being returned prior to issuing a refund, and therefore recommend purchasing an insurable and trackable mail service.  (Note: USPS provides insurance and tracking with Priority Mail delivery).  The sender will bear the cost of returning any product being returned.  Please contact us by email prior to your return to ensure you have a return eligible product and to confirm the return shipping address.
